Dice Box
In the lower corner, you'll see the dice box. The left dice shows you how far you may move and the right dice shows you a variety of icons. Although it's completely random as to what topics you'll receive, you can mentally prepare for them as soon as you see the icon. Remember that you will get one of the following choices: Sports, Entertainment, Riddles & Wordplay, Academics, Multiple Choice and Pictures. Voting If you think the player's answer isn't close enough to the right answer, don't be too quick to jump on the decline button. Make them be more specific. Maybe they'll go in the wrong direction and settle everyone's doubts! Challenge Here's where you can really use your cleverness to jump ahead in the game. Look for those green squares. Move the piece that will land on a green square instead of the closest piece to home. Once on a green square, you may challenge the player ahead of you. Hint: Challenges usually have easier questions, so don't be shy! Use those challenges. You can also challenge by landing on an opponent's game piece or you may get a challenge command randomly instead of a threesome question. When that happens, you can challenge just about anyone on the board that happens to be in front of you. If you've chosen Challenge, and you lose, then everyone stays in the same place. If you've chosen Challenge and you win, the player ahead of you comes back to join you on your square. Keep those challenge situations in mind, and you'll pull ahead with ease! Mind you, if the host has set up the game with Change instead of Challenge, then landing on a green square means you just automatically switch places. You go up to the space of your opponent, and he comes back to your square. Threesome Question Box Sometimes these come across as three pictures or as three text phrases. Look at the category at the top. You can also use the Repeat button to hear it again. If you're too nervous and typing wildly, don't forget you can hit Clear to start over again. (You'll still only have 30 seconds to complete your answer.) Then you can calmly hit the Done button and send your answer to the vote. Number of Paths You can also help speed the game along by having the host choose a shorter path. You can have one, two or three paths to follow to complete the game. The more paths, the longer the game's going to be. |
