Weapons and Equipment

Rogue Spear provides a wide range of weaponry and equipment for use during the many missions. The proper selection of equipment has a lot to do with the success or failure of the mission, so choose carefully.

Primary Weapons
HK MP5K-PDW

This is a compact version of the classic MP5. The lightweight and folding stock provide the perfect compromise when a full rifle or submachine gun is not feasible but a handgun will not cut it. It offers single and full auto modes.

HK MP5A4

This is the preferred weapon of counter-terrorist operatives around the globe. The MP5A4 offers reliability and accuracy, even at full automatic. This 9MM weapon is fitted with single, triple and full auto modes.

HK MP5SD5

A truly feared weapon by terrorists extreme, the MP5SD has an integral silencer that barely makes a sound. If accuracy and stealth are essential, this is the weapon of choice.

HK MP5/10A2

The HK MP5/10A2 offers the stopping power of the 10MM round, though there is an increase in the recoil. Single and full auto modes are offered.

HK MP5/10SD

An HK MP5/10A2 equipped with a sound suppressor gives a nice mix between power and silence. Because the suppression is not integral (like the MP5SD), the suppression is not quite as complete.

HK UMP45

The HK UMP45 is the latest edition submachine gun from gun manufacturer Heckler & Koch. Though at a price of increased recoil and a lower rate of fire, the stopping power of its .45 caliber round is a welcome addition.

HK UMP45SD

An HK UMP45 comes equipped with a sound suppressor. Though the suppression is not as complete as the integral suppressor of the MP5SD, it still is a good choice when a balance between power and silence is needed.

M4 Carbine

The M4 Carbine is a compact version of the M-16. It is commonly used when the firepower of an assault rifle is needed, but the weight and size is not. It is a common element of US and Israeli Special Forces. It is equipped with a single and full auto trigger group.

HK G3A3

The G3A3 is the standard assault rifle offering from Heckler & Koch. It uses the powerful 7.62mm NATO round. This is the most accurate assault rifle in RAINBOW's arsenal.

G36K

The Heckler & Koch G36K is their latest assault rifle. The compact design helps in close quarters while its 5.56MM round will penetrate most body armor.

Enfield L85A1

The Enfield L85A1, also known as the Enfield Individual Weapon or SA80, is the standard infantry weapon of the British Army. Its bullpup design sacrifices accuracy for maneuverability.

Steyr Aug

The Steyr AUG is the standard weapon of the Austrian Army. It is a very futuristic looking assault rifle with a compact bullpup design. It is well suited for missions calling for the maneuverability of a submachine gun and the punch of an assault rifle.

M16-A2

The excellent range and firepower of the venerable M16-A2 make it the counter-terrorist operative's friend. The 5.56 caliber ammunition easily drills through Level II body armor. The M16-A2 also has the longest range offering of any standard weaponry that Rogue Spear has to offer. It comes standard with a single and three round trigger group.

M-14

This is the direct descendant of the classic M1 Garand. The M14 fires a 7.62 round with fantastic accuracy. It has been in use by the US Army since 1957.

Barrett Model 82A1

The Barrett M82A1, sometimes called the 'Light Fifty,' was the first .50 caliber sniper rifle to achieve major use. Its extreme length, at 1.55 meters, and weight of 13.4 kg, make it the most accurate sniper rifle in the arsenal. Extreme care has to be used when targeting with this weapon, as its high powered .50 Browning round can tear through several targets just as easily as it can through an engine block.

PSG-1

The PSG-1 is arguably the most accurate off-the-shelf sniper rifle available. It is a favorite of police forces around the world. The PSG-1 comes standard with a 6X sight and fires the NATO 7.62 round.

Walther WA2000

This the shortest sniper rifle used by the Rainbow team. The Walther WA2000's bullpup design and light weight make it a favorite of snipers who need to move stealthily into difficult positions. Its.300 Winchester round has more punch than the more common 7.62 NATO round.

Benelli M1

The Benelli M1 is ideal for door breaching or highly lethal close quarters combat. It is a good tactical shotgun which is an essential part of all anti-terrorist teams. RAINBOW uses the Benelli M1 Tactical 12-Gauge, mainly because of its superb recoil characteristics. A skilled operator can fire five rounds fairly accurately in less than one second.

SPAS-12

The SPAS-12 is a shotgun offering full automatic capability. It is capable of emptying its clip in 1.75 seconds. This makes it ideal for quickly clearing a space of all hostiles.

Secondary Weapons
Beretta 92FS 9mm

The Beretta Model 92FS is RAINBOW's choice for a 9MM pistol. Its primary advantages are its low recoil rate and its large magazine as compared to the bulkier .45.

Beretta 92FS 9mm-SD

The Beretta Model 92FS is the choice of Rainbow's recon specialists. It has a specially designed sound and flash suppressor to maintain accuracy while offering an impressive 32dB of sound reduction while still offering minimized weight and length.

HK .40 USP

Heckler & Koch's .40 caliber USP is a favorite choice among those looking for a balance between size and firepower.

HK .40 USP-SD

This Knight Armament Corp. silencer offers excellent sound suppression for the HK .40 USP.

HK .45 Mark 23

Heckler & Koch's .45 Caliber Mark23 ACP provides extreme ruggedness, reliability, and match-grade accuracy. This has made it the handgun of choice for all U.S. Special Forces.

HK .45 Mark 23-SD

A beautifully designed sound and flash suppressor on the HK MK23 nearly eliminates muzzle flash and provides more than 35dB of sound reduction. This is an essential part of any RAINBOW mission requiring both firepower and discretion.

.50 Desert Eagle

The IMI .50 Desert Eagle is a very powerful handgun. It is capable of punching through body armor, but then has a limited seven round magazine.

.357 Desert Eagle

This is the smaller cousin to the Desert Eagle .50. The IMI Desert Eagle's .357 Magnum round packs a punch capable of punching through body armor at close range but only carries a limited eight-round magazine.

Equipment
Demolitions Kit

This kit increases speed in the placing and disarming of explosives. It offers basic electrical diagnostic equipment and the essential tools needed to accomplish the job. Extra primer, detcord, and a variety of different adhesives complete the kit.

Electronics Kit

This kit increases speed in the placing of bugs, rewiring any security cameras, and any related electrical tasks. It contains a multimeter, miniature power supplies, a breadboard, and a digital analyzer. A full complement of miscellaneous electrical parts rounds out the kit.

Lockpick Kit

This kit increases the speed of picking locks. Its essential component is a highly sophisticated auto-pick capable of opening most mechanical locks in just a few moments. Electrical keycard, or swipe locks as they are commonly known, are handled using a classified system containing presets for all major keycard variations.

Frag Grenade

The M61 fragmentation grenade is the standard issue grenade used by infantry throughout the world. Though its blast radius is small, an overhand throw is still necessary to safely clear the grenade and its blast radius.

Flashbang

Flashbangs are capable of stunning observers with a combination bright flash and loud report. They are commonly tossed into rooms to stun a room's occupants prior to entry. The valuable moments gained while potential hostiles recover from the effects can mean the difference between life and death to any tactical team. Flashbangs are also known as distraction devices or stun grenades.

Breaching Charge

Breaching charges are set on doors and exploded to remove doors for rapid entry. Flashbangs do not need to be used in conjunction with a breaching charge as a breaching charge can stun, wound, or even kill anyone who happens to be nearby.

Primary Mags

These are extra magazines for your primary weapon.

Secondary Mags

These are extra magazines for your secondary weapon.

Heartbeat Sensor

The Heartbeat Sensor is capable of detecting a human heartbeat even through thick layers of concrete. It works by detecting the characteristic ultra-low-frequency electric field given off by a heartbeat. When in use, the heartbeat sensor scans out in a small circle around the user as well as a larger cone area straight ahead.

Binoculars

The binoculars used by Rainbow are compact, lightweight and are specially constructed to withstand the rigors of operations. A built-in range finder and choice of 4x and 8x zoom factors make these an essential item for RAINBOW recon missions.

Uniforms

Deciding on the correct uniform is as important as choosing the correct weapon for a mission. The various missions all take place in different locales and have different lighting conditions. Also, some missions will require more protection than others while in some, the operatives need the light recon outfit. There are several different styles and each is available in three different classes.

Light Class

The Light Class is optimal for nighttime and recon missions. It offers a lightweight Level IIa tactical vest capable of stopping low-powered pistol rounds and is rounded out with the standard soft-soled rubber boots, Nomex balaclava, and Nomex/Kevlar gloves.

Medium Class

The Medium Class offers a Level II waist-length tactical vest and a Kevlar Helmet, soft-soled rubber boots, Nomex balaclava, and Nomex/Kevlar gloves. The vest is capable of stopping most pistol fire, and some submachine gun fire as well.

Heavy Class

The Heavy Class has Level III body armor extending to the groin and is capable of stopping all but the most high-powered of rifle rounds. Demolitions experts prefer this class as the Kevlar helmets with their faceplates offer some protection from flying debris. The Woods, Desert and Camo heavy uniforms do not offer the helmet with the faceplate. Also, their body armor only extends to the waist as these uniforms are used primarily in outdoor missions.

Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear utilizes seven different uniform patterns. Each pattern is designed for a specific environment or lighting condition.

Uniform     Description
Arctic 1     Complete snow
Arctic 2     Snow and brush
Desert 1     Desert
Desert 2     Darker desert camo for low-light operations
Black     Nighttime operations
Blue     Moonlit night operations
Camo     Jungle operations
Euro     Mixed forest environments
Green     General outdoors
Gray     Urban operations
Street     Rainbow's alternative choice for urban assault operations
Wood     For operations in forests and rural areas
