There are hundreds of verbs you can use to express yourself, move, and interact with other players in Hercules & Xena: Alliance of Heroes! Following is a list of some of the basic commands to get you started:
ACT
Example: act glances around with a glint in her eyes
Others in the room will see the message "Norstar glances around with a glint in her eye. A powerful roleplaying verb that allows you to display your characters name, followed by a message. Use it to creatively express your character's actions.
GET
Examples: get sword, get the sword from my sheath
Moves object to your hand, either from the ground or from your inventory.
PUT IN
Example: put sword in my sheath, put jewel in my backpack
Gets the object out of your hand to the specified location.
DROP
Example: drop sword
Puts the item on the ground in the room.
LOOK
Examples: look, look at Norstar, look at rat, look in my backpack, look behind the tree
Gives you a description of a room, person, creature, what's in a container, or what's behind an object
READ
Example: read sign
If you look at an object and get the message "it appears to have something written on it," then you can READ the object.
I or INV or INVENTORY
Example: inv
Gives you a list of items in your possession
EXP or EXPERIENCE
Example: exp
Shows your experience level
WEALTH
Example: wealth
Shows how much money you have
INFO
Example: info
Shows information about your character's statistics
HOLD HANDS
Example: hold hand of articlea
Articlea will now go wherever you go, this is a way to lead someone around.
JOIN
Example: join articlea
This is how you join someone's group, now you will go wherever they lead.
ATTACK
Example: attack rat
This is a combat command. It will initiate the auto-attack sequence, which will determine what weapon you are using and swing it at intervals.
WEAR
Example: wear cloak
Puts on an item that can be worn, including armor, shield, clothing, etc. To remove an object, you must have a hand free and use the REMOVE command, i.e. remove cloak
EAT and DRINK
Example: eat herb, drink beer
Take a bite or a sip. Food and drink has a limited number of times you can eat or drink before they are used up. Herbs have healing powers, and strong drink can make you drunk.
To move around:
N or North
S or South
E or East
W or West
GO
Example: go arch, go mist
You will go through the portal into the connecting room. Sometimes portals are not obvious.
Misc. verbs to express yourself:
Giggle
Pout
Smile
Jump
Kiss
Wave
You can aim some of these at specific people, i.e. kiss articlea
To communicate:
Example: 'Greeting fellow Athenians.
Everyone else in the room will see you say "Greeting fellow Athenians."
WH or WHISPER
Example: whisper articlea help me!
Articlea will hear you but no one else will
YELL
Example: yell Help me!
Everyone in your room and all adjoining rooms will hear you.
REPORT
Example: report This is Bob, I need help! Someone come quick!
Sends a message to ALL GameMasters who are online.
ADVICE
Example: advice
In the character manager, this gives some basic tips on what to do next. Outside the character manager, ADVICE covers the same topics that the intro tour gave, in case you skipped it or simply forgot.
DIR
Example: dir apollo temple
Gives directions to a place, like the temples, merchants, blacksmiths, etc. Gives one direction at a time, i.e. if you want to get someplace that's 10 rooms away you'll need to use it 10 times.
