Introduction
Dereth. No other world is quite as beautiful, or as dangerous. The beasts outnumber us ten thousand to one and we are broken into loose and meaningless allegiances. While some may be content with allegiances that have no beliefs or organization, others are yearning for something more substantial. The Iron Lightning, a guild for Asheron's Call that was founded over a year before anyone stepped on Dereth's fertile ground, has just what the good-aligned adventurer needs. We have stood the test of time and are thriving.
Many adventurers engage merely in an endless loop of battling monsters and soon grow tired, which is a shame, as Dereth has so much more potential. Join our guilds and you shall be remembered as the few Derethians that stood up to all evils and defended your own beliefs.
Our Story
We are an Aluvian-based guild open to all heritage groups. Our foundations are set in the Code of Pwyll, rules put forth by the famous ruler of Aluvia on Ispar before our calling to Dereth. Now that we find ourselves somewhat more organized and safer than we were in the days of servitude to the vicious Olthoi, it is time we join in fellowship to fight the impending evils that remain. Although Elysa Strathelar (may she be well) and Thorsten Cragstone (may he rest in peace) freed us from the Olthoi, there are still many battles to be fought. We wish to continue the crusade Queen Elysa Strathelar started before she disappeared, to defend Dereth from the evils with which it is cursed. One such impending evil, the Dark Council, has already gained a foothold on Dereth, and their plot to release the evil god Yrth will not be carried out without a fight.
Requirements
Those that wish to join must be avid role-players set on playing a good-aligned character. We will not take someone who does not enjoy role-playing.
We ask that you remain active all throughout your membership to the guild, as activity is what keeps us alive. You should also join us with the character that you will spend the majority of time playing with, as joining with a minor character will not help you or us in our fight.
You may join as an initiate at any level, but you can't be admitted into the guild until you reach level 5. This gives you time to reflect on just how you wish to play your character and gives you time to know Dereth. Note that you are not automatically admitted into the guild at level 5, as admission is subject to our joining system (you will be given all the information you need upon inquiry to join).
We do have an extensive knowledge library of Dereth that we wish to remain in our hands. Thus any information we give to you as secrets of the Iron Lightning should remain that way. We will not tolerate backstabbing of any kind.
We have an extensive organized hierarchy that will provide far more benefits than a simple loose allegiance. The hierarchy will take care of your needs, and is broken up into groups to allow vast and unparalleled communication between members.

Guilds are far superior to conventional allegiances. We do provide the fellowship, equipment, etc., of an allegiance, but we are far more organized and we are better prepared for everything. It is not a simple matter of joining and forgetting you are part of us, as we stick together to accomplish our goals and have a whole lot of fun role-playing everything. We also will have to fight for Dereth with evil guilds that wish to overthrow the good people. The following are a few other benefits of the guild.
