Kick butt and take names! Stay alive! That's the name of the game. Sounds easy, but when up against some of the most strategic minds on the Zone, you'll need to arm yourself with some of these game tips.
Here are some tips:
The Camel Rider has an attack bonus against all cavalry, chariots, and horse archers. Camel Riders travel faster than cavalry, so they're an excellent way to sniff out your opponents. Fire Galleys can easily torch your opponents' boats and shore structures. Combine your Fire Galleys with your Triremes for an effective attack. The Scythe Chariots are expensive to upgrade (1200 wood, 800 gold) but they're well worth it, especially against priests. The Scythe Chariots have a high resistance to conversion and have a double attack against priests. So if you see a bunch of priests just waltzing about, send your Scythe Chariot in for the kill. The Scythe Chariot wheels can damage adjacent enemies. If you're playing Romans, try building a couple of towers in your opponents' back yards or near their gold mines. The towers are 50% cheaper! Need to double your population without going over the limit? Then go to your Government Center and upgrade the Logistics. With this upgrade, each barrack unit counts as only half a unit! Build walls and allow only one entrance for your opponent to find you. This protects your village and narrows your opponents to one fighting area. ALWAYS look for two ways to enter your opponent's village. Sneak a couple of your villagers into your opponent's territory and secretly build up a couple of military units, such as Cavalry or Archers. When you've reached the Iron Age, don't build Storage Pits; build Town Centers! You can crank out more villagers! ALWAYS know where your two closest gold pits are! Don't just mine one gold pit, because once the gold is all mined out, you'll waste time looking for another one! Have the shortcut keys memorized! They save you tons of precious time. Hit F4 to view all player scores. Keep in mind that if a player's score is higher in the Stone or Tool Age, it probably means they're doing a lot of exploring. |
