Good News! Thanks to your hard work, we've been able to reach a new milestone in the development of Allegiance - Open Beta. Both to celebrate this new stage and to respond to your passionate pleas, we have decided to lift the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). However, it is very important to remember that we are still updating code, and problems will likely occur from time to time. It's only through your continuous feedback, patience, and support that we will be able to work through these, and future issues in a timely manner and move forward!
For those of you who wish to play in the Open Beta, all you need to do is go the Microsoft.com Games website on Friday evening to get the download of Allegiance. Once you install Allegiance and auto-update to Beta 1.05, you'll want the Training Mission download. We have upgraded the Training Missions but did not want everyone to have to download all the files for it unless they wanted to. We still offer the Training Missions download to those who desire them.
If you already have either the Beta1 or Beta0 CD, you do not need to download this new Allegiance file.
Now that we are in Open Beta, we encourage to you go out to your favorite fan sites and public forums and let them know all about Allegiance from a player's viewpoint!!
Also, the data information on the CD's should not be copied or posted anywhere! The information on the CD is still CONFIDENTIAL!
Account sharing and/or selling will not be allowed throughout the beta! The original person assigned to the account will be held accountable for all actions of that account regardless of who may or may not have acted with it!
Thanks to each and every one of you for getting us to this point. Now, let's all get back in there and push Allegiance to the final level!
